HHHEEEEYYY!!! Yeah, you!!! Pay attention!!!….

4 Oct

If you don’t watch this video, and then follow the links on it, and then participate in the most important election we’ve had in DECADES, I will hate you.  I will really really really hate you.  I will think you’re a scumbag who is far too lazy and selfish to be allowed to breathe, and I’ll find the most vengeful religion out there and become one of their members just so I can say prayers every night for my new vengeful God-buddy to give you gout and genital warts and pink-eye and degenerative gum disease and split ends.

Don’t make me have to have a God-buddy.  Just find it in yourself to give a shit about the rest of the world’s population, and allow yourself to have a voice.  Because it’s the only time the government is listening.

And if you DON’T vote, then you can never ever ever voice your opinion about anything that the President fucks up, because you didn’t do a single thing to make it better.  So if you’d like the option of having an opinion, go register to vote (which you can do online… right now… time’s running out), and then go vote on election day. If you don’t vote, I’ll even make my son hate you.  Why?  Because I’m his mom, and he does what I tell him too.  You’ll be hated by children… that’s how horrible of a person you’ll become.

Don’t make us hate you.

That is all.

dont hate me! i turn 18 like exactly 2 weeks after the election! otherwise i would vote!

  2. Kristen Ferrell October 4, 2008 at 10:46 am #

You would do good if you could, and for that- I love you.
But you should send the link to that video to EVERYONE you know, because the deadline for registration in some states is TODAY!!

This seriously is the most important election that we will probably ever be a part of. And I’m so sick of hearing the LAME LAME LAME excuse from people that “well, it really doesn’t make any difference anyways” or “the elections are rigged, so why bother”, or “i don’t like either of the candidates, so I’m not going to participate”….
FUCK THAT!!! Even if the elections are rigged, if you vote then you actually have something to be pissed about! And even if you don’t like either of the candidates- so fucking what!!! No candidate will ever fully stand for EVERYTHING any of us wants them to… so grow the fuck up and pick the lesser of the 2 evils.

This ESPECIALLY goes out to all you little punkers out there. I hear the “I’m not gonna vote because bla bla bla” bullshit from the punker kids THE MOST- which is fully retarded because these are the kids who want to come across as the most politically aware. If you REALLY ARE politically aware, then prove it. Participate. Or else me and everyone else will KNOW that you’re TOTALLY full of shit (and that you probably bought all your punk t-shirts at Hot Topic).

Yeah, those “punker” kids especially. I’m not saying everyone whose into political punk is this way (I listen to a lot of political stuff as well). The majority of the kids I’ve met and tried to have conversations with about politics were just plain not interested. They don’t know shit about shit. They are too busy dressing the part and acting poor and asking for me to spare change that happened at a show, and I said Fuck no, they haven’t suffered anything I can tell by the pathetic poor me look on their face, they got mad at me but they got kicked out before the doors opened so I don’t care as long as I didn’t have to be in the same room as them I had fun, they probably went back home to a nice air conditioned house. I’ll choose fun and knowledge over street cred and apathy anyday. Back to more important topics, my friend seems to like Anti-Flag a lot, so I asked her about upcoming elections and where she’s standing if anything and she’s like I don’t pay attention I’m Anti-Flag. Ok, now that’s just stupid first of all that band does encourage punkers to vote, second of all she has no idea who is running and I asked her about the 700 billion bailout and she had no clue what I was talking about. It’s like really. How can you be politically punk and have no clue I’d really like to know. Personally, I don’t like Democrats or Republicans I tend to lean on the independent side, but they never win they are just there for other reasons unclear to me still, but I think I’m going to go with the lesser of natural evils and choose a Democrat ballot, because as much as I like McKinney she will not win it no one knows about the independents. A site I found that you might be interested in is http://www.ontheissues.org it has all the candidates even state/local candidates it even has quotes on the candidates issues like Palin and her daughter’s choice to keep her child and how she feels on abortion. Oh and I’m not trying to be a suckup, but I really love your artwork and how you incorporate classic symbols into more modern terms and the use of animals and brighter colors. And this is ridiculously long. I have a ranting problem.

Split ends? The rest of that stuff is pretty mean but split ends too? Baby that’s cold!

Actually I don’t live in the country at the moment, but I did register to vote, and registered two of my sons who are now old enough to vote. WooHoo! Our absentee ballots should be arriving soon in the mail.

I have never missed a vote since my 18th birthday. Dog catcher, PTA, town, state and federal elections ALL COUNT. I’ve impressed upon my kids that voting is not only your right, but your DUTY. If you don’t vote you are an idiot so STFU and sit down, I don’t want to hear you.

Everyone should get out and vote. Give rides to anyone without transportation. Check nursing home, shut ins, elderly, everyone you can think of. Help them vote too.

One of the reasons that I don’t like going to punk shows is because of these types of punker kids. Now don’t get me wrong… I am in NO WAY generalizing the entire punk community with what I’m about to say… and the REAL political punk kids will fully agree with me about the bullshit punk kids. These bullshit kids will scream and chant along all the songs about demanding political change or talking about injustices and whatever… but what do they do about it? FUCKING NOTHING!!! When you ask them who they’re going to vote for, they say “fuck that… I’m not going to vote… the whole system is corrupt” or whatever craptastic excuse they come up with to justify their ignorance and laziness.
Is the political system corrupt? Of course it is! Whenever you have people in positions of power with access to massive amounts of wealth, corruption is going to happen. But does their corruption give us an excuse to be lazy and apathetic? THE CORRUPT GOVERNMENT WANTS US TO BE LAZY AND APATHETIC!!! THEY WANT US TO NOT CARE SO THEY CAN FUCK US OVER EVEN MORE YOU FUCKING RETARDS!!!

Wearing a “Crass” shirt does not make you punk. Neither does knowing all the words to all the songs at whatever punk show your at. Neither does your “I’m REALLY fucking punk!” uniform that you wear, or the angst you also proudly wear on your sleeve. Every bit of punk trivia you can vomit out of your lazy self-absorbed little mouth doesn’t mean SHIT unless you have the balls to take some action and fucking PARTICIPATE in fighting the corrupt system. The first step in doing that is VOTING IN A GODDAMN ELECTION!!

Do you know how many countries there are out there who’s general population doesn’t have any say in what goes on in their government? Their people would LOVE to be able to have a hand in who leads their country. But does the american youth give a shit about that? Of course not. They’re too fucking spoiled and pathetic to take 5 minutes to fill out an online voter registration card, and then take 15 minutes to cast their vote on election day. Not only that.. but WAAAAAAAAAAYYYY too many of them have no fucking clue what the major issues even ARE!!!

It all makes me want to beat the shit outta people.

    Ok…. whew… I kindof went off there.

To all the active political punkers out there… thank you. You rule and I love you. To all you bullshit artists who only care about how tall your mohawk is or if your brand new Nausea t-shirt has been washed enough times so that it doesn’t look new anymore, and who have no plans on acting upon the injustices that spawned the entire movement that created your wardrobe…. eat shit and choke on cancer. You’re a fraud, and we all know it.

  6. Kristen Ferrell October 4, 2008 at 7:14 pm #

daMama… i think you and I are on the exact same schedule, because we seem to post comments at the exact same time!! Haha!!

I love that you emphasize this so much to your kids. My 10 year old wanted to watch the debates with me, so he sat with me and I explained each topic they were discussing so that he understood (as best as a 10 year old can), and felt involved. He finds this stuff really interesting, so it’s easy to keep him aware.
But alot of parents don’t stress this stuff… and that’s why so many young people in our country don’t care. My parents always voted on everything, and it really sets a good example for kids to see their parents involved.
    good job, lady!!!

(and yes… split ends. I will curse people with the worst of things that could happen. ha!!) 😉

  7. Anon October 4, 2008 at 7:36 pm #

My point exactly. It’s really annoying and makes me want to swing baseball bats. And some of the girls too, they embarass me as a woman when they throw themselves over their “favorite” musicians and start fights with other ladies. It’s like wow, really you’re supposed to be fighting against that shit, now you just are an embarrassment. I can’t even wear a skirt anymore without being called a tease or given some crude comment and be expected to spread wide open. I’m young and I’ve seen some nasty junk clique shit happen with girls all for that stupid male who isn’t worth it, coming out of my school. Lately I’ve met some cool kids who I can converse with about politics and not song lyrics and where I get my latest designer fashion and why band x is poseur and all that blah nonsense. And they are into Food Not Bombs as well so I can meet people helping those who are the real unfortunate. By not voting and even worse not knowing shit about what’s going on you are granting them (the government) the satisfaction of us being lazy so one person wins and it just might be the one that’ll put us in more damage. They’re too busy wrapped up in their little lives but don’t realize that our economy is really fuckin bad the high gas prices are a reason why everything is up in price from the food prices in grocery stores to their “favorite bands” ticket prices. They don’t see it. This is why I wish I could tell people what to do. You should make a video like the one above and put it in a rockish type of twist.

    yeaaaah…. i don’t want split ends….

  9. whitney October 6, 2008 at 9:48 am #

omg……. SO, speaking of shitty young punk rockers… look at a few of the reply posts i got through telling people to vote through the homesick abortions myspace….

“seriously your using something like that to tell people to vote? you think its really going to make a difference? they can change our votes/ based on our race or whatever they want to do. whoever they want to win is going to win you know that. especially based on the last elections. we have more important things to worry about. it doesnt matter whos going to be president because who ever is in office is just going to be a puppet for the government the cia and the rockafellers. well have fun when they take over iran and the north american union takes place. they are already trying to figure out the layout for our new money. ameros. its fucked. were all fucked.”

    AND

“both parties contribute to this capitalist shithole. therefore, both suck and voting only contributes to the system which we’re supposed to be against..?

    just my opinion.”

oooooooooh my shit, my blood is boiling!!!!!!!

  10. Kristen Ferrell October 6, 2008 at 3:09 pm #

    HOLY SHIT!!!!
    I HATE THOSE PEOPLE!!!!!!

I’m going on myspace right fucking now and looking for your post and I’m gonna throw a tantrum.
Those spoiled selfish delusional little brats!!!

  11. Kristen Ferrell October 6, 2008 at 3:30 pm #

ok, i just attempted to sort through 3,000 bulletin posts… and i lost my patience.
you just go ahead and tell those shit stains that if they want to know all the reasons to actually get off their ass and participate in the election, then they should come talk to me.

  12. whitney October 7, 2008 at 6:37 am #

oh, i pretty much told them how stupid and lazy they were. one read with no response and the other, i havent heard back from. mwaha.

  13. whitney October 7, 2008 at 6:40 am #

oh yeah, and my favorite part in the first response is when she says “we have more important things to worry about” after she talks about how it wont make a difference……..
it’s like, WHAT?? what can be more important than this? where do you think this is all going to start????
it’s kinda like during the VP debates when palin says she doesnt want to argue about the global warming issues… but she wants to get in there and fix it! hahaha. totally contradictive.

  14. whitney October 7, 2008 at 6:46 am #

well! i got a response from the girl…. i think she listens to WAY too much consiracy radio or something…. zap us?

“well if you want to believe all the crap they are telling you about voting go ahead. its all statistics and i dont really base any of it on saying the system is corrupt or any of that cliche bullshit i base it on facts. and i dont trust our governments voting system one bit. because they can change our vote based on anything they want to. i dont think its going to change anything. they will feed us with speeches of hope and promise and truth and tell us they are genuine but it really doesnt work out that way. and telling people to vote using celebrities is kind of disgusting in my opinion. you should really watch that new zeitgiest movie. it may be delted soon. i mean i love you guys and whatnot but our vote doesnt matter anymore. they can do whatever they want to do . and pretty soon the whole constitution will be nonexistent. we dont have rights. and the only thing that is going to stop it is a civil war. and we will loose because they will zap us with their deafening sound guns and all the weaponary they can. its going to happen. they have already started all these checkpoints stopping every car to check for terrorism. i dont think its going to matter whos president. the rockafellers are still going to be around feeding their money to our leaders and controlling our taxes our money and our lives. the federal reserve is just a reserve note. its not accountable in gold anymore and our entire country will forever be in debt. and any president i doubt is going to change that. or the pile of garbage in the ocean the size of texas.”

  15. Kristen Ferrell October 7, 2008 at 8:37 am #

Woah…… this chick is bonkers and all over the place!!! If she knew anything about the Zeitgeist movie, she’d know that it was released for free viewing in 2007 by Google video- which means it won’t be “deleted” any time soon. And “zapping” civilians with deafening sound guns? Um, really? I’m laughing out loud as I’m typing this. And terrorism checkpoints are only at airports and places of threat, silly shit-for-brains kid!! And I’m really not that opposed to having heightened security while I travel because I would like to be able to come home safely to my child after a business trip.
If everything is so scary and on the verge of falling apart- wouldn’t the natural reaction be to fight it? Participate in any way you can instead of sitting on your ass in front of the computer reading conspiracy theory websites?

This kid is fucking wackadoo… pray she never ever comes to one of your shows, because talking to her is the equivalent of a prison sentence.

  16. whitney October 7, 2008 at 2:30 pm #

EVERYTHING that she said literally must have come off of 640 AM radio…. james and i listen to that station for fun…. we dont go and repost it to people as factual!
hopefully she does get zapped with a gun.

  17. Kristen Ferrell October 7, 2008 at 2:41 pm #

Point me in her direction… I’ll zap the shit outta her (I don’t have a “deafening sound gun”, but I can get a tazer really easily.
