Rampant and irresponsible breeding should be a punishable offence…

1 Feb

Before reading on, check out the story on the mother of the new octuplets…

Grandma: Octuplets mom obsesed with having kids

When I first read about this mother-of-8, the media had yet to release the name or any other information about her- so I refrained from ranting until getting all the facts.  Now I have them.  My response?

Vomit vomit vomit fucking VOMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is complete and utter bullshit on so many levels that I don’t even know where to begin.  There is no excuse for this, and I see having this many babies at once (or having this many babies   PERIOD) as irresponsible to the degree of neglect, and should be punishable as such.  And then to read that the mother of these new babies has 6 other children, no job, lives with her parents, and is psychologically unstable… and a fertility doctor went ahead and loaded her up with embryos anyways?  ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?????

Let’s put this disgusting individual lady aside, and look at how many children one family should have.  I can’t say what the exact number of kids per couple should be- but over 10 is WAY too many.  There are over 6 and a half BILLION people on this planet… do we really need more?  Really?? It’s selfish and grotesquely narcissistic for someone to think they are so spectacular that they need to reproduce their genetic code that many times.  It honestly makes me ill.  I have 1 child.  The amount of time, money, energy, work, and attention that 1 child needs is intense…. but fully necessary.  And every child born deserves that amount of time, energy, work and attention in order to grow into a healthy and functioning adult.  Every child you have cuts that amount of time and attention down, and doubles the work load (and the expenses).  These aren’t puppies or kittens we’re talking about… they’re people.  And their emotional and psychological growth depends on the parents.  So when a couple decides to have litters of children- how are they going to keep a thumb on the development of each one and have the time to give special attention that is so vital to every single one of those kids?  They can’t.  Even if they have the financial resources for 1 of the parents to stay at home with the kids all day- that’s still too many kids.  In a day care center, BY LAW there needs to be 1 adult for every 3-4 kids.  So how, by law, is it appropriate for there to be 1 parent to 14 or 16 or even 18 kids (like those sick demented fuckers the Duggars).  Yes, I know that alot of the Duggar kids are now older and can care for themselves, but what about when they were little?  How much attention did they get?  And what about this tragedy of a human who just had 8 babies, with 6 already at home (all 6 are under the age of 7, one of them being autistic).  That’s 14 children all under the age of 7, and a special needs child being raised by a single parent.  Yes, these children will be neglected.  And this is a tragedy.  My mom was an only child, so she wanted alot of kids.  But my parents have common sense, and knew that creating alot of kids on their own was socially irresponsible.  So they wanted to have 2, and adopt 2.  My older brother and I were adopted, then they had my little brother… and then they said “woah… ok… that’s enough!!”.  My mom has told me that you should only have as many kids as you have hands… because the one who’s hand your not holding at all times is running with scissors in traffic towards that stranger with candy.  2 hands = 2 kids.  That makes sense to me! (and on a global scale, with overpopulation being the #1 cause of all our environmental problems, it makes even more sense).

What about the doctors who allowed Nadya Suleman (the octuplet’s mother) to get in vitro fertilization, without any regard for her mental state of mind or her current financial ability to care for these kids?  Her own mother has publicly announced that Nadya is mentally unstable- so why didn’t the doctors take the time to find this out?  Their job is to make sure this woman has kids… so doesn’t it make sense that they should take a few minutes before embarking on this task to make sure that she’s MENTALLY FIT to have more kids?  Or at least financially prepared to take this on (Nadya is currently unemployed and lives with her parents)?  And how is it responsible to allow her to carry ALL 8 babies when she already has 6 at home?  Is it really that big of a deal to pluck a few of them out once realizing that all the eggs stuck?  I don’t care what your stance on abortion is… it is NOT GOD’S WILL or natural in any way for 1 woman to carry and give birth to 8 babies at one time (which is why it took a team of 46 doctors to deliver them).  Why are the guidelines for adopting a baby that is already born and waiting for a family stricter than the guidelines for undergoing insane medical treatments for creating a herd of babies?  If Nadya went to an adoption agency and told them she wanted to adopt more babies- after glancing at her current situation (already having too many kids and not having any income), they would laugh and slam the door in her face because she’s not fit to care for any more.  So why didn’t the fertility doctors take the time to investigate this?  I would think that the mere fact that after 6 kids, she would want to be a single parent to more would throw up some red flags.  AND HOW DID SHE PAY FOR THE FERTILITY TREATMENTS????!!!! That shit isn’t cheap.

This should be considered a crime.  Nadya’s own mother sees it as such.  All 14 of those children are going to suffer and have difficult lives because their nut-job of a mother couldn’t stop making babies.  Shame on Nadya Suleman; shame on every one of the doctors who helped her create horrible futures for these babies; shame on Nadya’s family for not intervening in this situation before she created a dozen + new lives to care for when they KNEW she wasn’t right in the head; and if there is a God, I hope to hell it gives these new babies a little extra attention- because they sure as fuck aren’t going to get it at home.  ALL her kids are going to need all the help they can get.

And Oprah had better not give this lady a dime, or an ounce of praise.  Seriously.

first off- thank goodness her own mother even thinks it’s incredibly stupid, and it’s almost pretty awesome that she’s going to bail on her daughter. it’s not right to have her own mother have to take care of her kids… ya know, the ones she just had to have! so stupid.
and yes, those doctor’s were fucking retarded to even let her have that many babies. in the article they said that they asked her if they could abort some…. they should have just went in there with a coat hanger right away and leave no more than 1 left. sorry if that sounds morbid, but man, she REALLYYYYY doesnt need more kids… the amount she has is enough!
you wrote something in here that asked about how she pays for the fertility treatment, and in the article i read that a lady asked her how she goes to work and cares for the kids at the same time and the mom answered that she gets paid for it…??? i don’t understand how that works? basically, if i wanted free schooling and childcare, all i have to do is give birth to 20 babies?
ugh, we really need a law like china and a limit of 1-2 children per household/couple/parent. these families giving birth to a factory of children is just getting fucking ridiculous.

    Vomit indeed.
I feel like a pretty capable, responsible, genetically fit human being, & i’m not even sure that I should ever reproduce. I’m repulsed by the idea that anyone who isn’t smart enough to distinguish the difference between the primordial urge to reproduce, & the voice of god telling to multiply & be plentiful, is not only allowed, but encouraged to do so.

  5. germinfested February 1, 2009 at 2:21 pm #

What a bitch! That’s pure retardation. Not to mention how many kids there are in group homes, or kids that NEED to be adopted, this asshole decides to shove a god damn army out of her crotch.

I think it’s astounding that people will say that abortion is “against god’s will” but artificial insemination is fine and dandy. Are you dumb?

I guess now that they’re BORN, and nothing else can be done, she should at least give them up for adoption. Although, it wouldn’t surprise me if she got them taken away anyways.

  6. Kristen Ferrell February 1, 2009 at 3:06 pm #

Whitney…. because she’s in school, I’m sure she gets financial aid and day care for the kids (all with our tax money). I am 100% ALL FOR financial aid for students who can’t afford tuition and day care for parents in school- this is a fantastic thing. But this lady is another case of someone abusing the system, which gives republicans another excuse to cut this kind of funding. But what I don’t understand is how she got the money to pay for the fertilization treatments? Because I KNOW that regular health insurance wouldn’t cover something like this- and it’s crazy expensive.

Chelsea…. it’s the movie “Idiocracy” played out in reality. The people who are intelligent, responsible, and of sound mind usually have less children (or none at all) because they ARE intelligent, responsible, and of sound mind. It’s the rest of the babbling fucking retards who breed like rabbits- which in turn creates more babbling fucking retards. And so on, and so on. Awesome.

And yes, there are thousands and thousands of babies and children who need homes and families. So why not bring some on these kids into your family? Or become a foster parent? Or just work at a goddamn day care??? There is no need to ever have this many children. It’s a waste of resources, and a burden on an already overpopulated society.

And “God’s will” was dictated thousands of years ago when people needed to have oodles of kids because half of them would die off before they hit their teens. Thousands of years ago there wasn’t artificial insemination and in vitro fertilization and the technology to deliver 8 babies at once. This woman’s pregnancy was the farthest thing from natural, and had nothing to do with “God”… so abort abort abort!

Your mom has the same idea I have about the two hands rule. Anyhow, I used to work with a kid who was one out of 13 kids, and everyone was saying how he should help his parents out with the bills and groceries and taking care of the kids. And it’s like if the parents are going to have that many fuckin kids than they should be the ones taking care of them, not the older siblings. I don’t understand the whole anti-birth control, god’s will thing. Do people honestly believe that some other thing will control whether or not they get pregnant everytime they have sex? I don’t know how people can live like that. If there is a God maybe he should tell people to use birth control or stop intruding on people’s sex lives.

  8. whitney February 1, 2009 at 5:27 pm #

“every sperm is sacred, every sperm is good!”

i swear, those god-crazy people probably listen to that song every night before they go to bed….

    • My opinion November 11, 2012 at 6:06 pm #

Not everyone thinks like that–and God didn’t put those 8 babies in her, an idiot did. What may be found out later is she shouldn’t have had the 6 she already had.
Who was the crazier than her man that said “after she’s out of the hospital nobody will hear very much about her?” Well, they have pretend hers because I’ve seen one on talk show that was very “together” (probably an actress) and then probably the real her on a different show freaking out. What people won’t do for attention and money.

  9. Kristen Ferrell February 1, 2009 at 7:21 pm #

Friends of mine that came from huge families had the same experiences… the older kids helped care for the younger kids, and when they got jobs, they chipped in financially. I also always thought this was unfair. Every kid should have responsibilities around the house and chores- I think that’s mandatory. But one of those responsibilities shouldn’t be to parent or “bring home the bacon”. That’s the PARENT’S job. Let the kids be kids. If you can’t afford or have the time to take care of litters of children… DON’T HAVE LITTERS OF CHILDREN!!! Know your fucking limitations and live within them!!!

I’ll never understand the anti-birth control thing either. It’s just moronic. You’re setting yourself up to lose (unless you are in a sexless relationship… then you’ve got nothing to worry about). Plus, it’s fully irresponsible. You’re gambling with a human life. If you’re in a situation where you can’t emotionally or financially care for another baby- and you still refuse to use birth control or don’t see abortion as an option- then you’re just an ignorant asshole. You’re bringing a person into this world, and you don’t have the capability to take care of them. That’s vicious. And about the furthest thing from “respecting a human life” that I can think of.

Crazy, just unadulterated, unabashedly, absolutely crazy nuts. What doctor would implant that many embryos at once? What clinic would give that sort of fertility treatment to a single woman with no job and six kids?

I was shocked enough at the insanity of it, then I leaned she already had six kids. 7,6,5,3 and 2 year old twins! Holy smokes! Fourteen kids and all less than 8 years old.

Who paid for these treatments? They go the tens of thousands of dollars, and she and her parents had filed bankruptcy only last year!! Anyone with kids knows how expensive just one can be to feed, clothe, house, school and entertain. Infants are even more expensive as they require all sorts of special items. High chairs, car seats, cribs, a new wardrobe every other month. Formula (she can’t possibly nurse 8 babies!), baby food, diapers. The list is endless.

It would not surprise me that in the end, taxpayers are going to end up footing the bill for the maintenance of these 14 children.

I agree, older siblings should NEVER be expected to take care of younger siblings, to raise them or support them financially. My father was one of 7, as oldest male he was required to quit school in the 9th grade, find employment and “help” support his younger siblings. As an oldest, I pretty much raised my sister (I was only 9 when I started raising her) while my older brother raised two of the younger boys.
It is not right to make children take on parental roles.

  11. Kristen Ferrell February 1, 2009 at 11:36 pm #

Apparently, the medical community is horrified that this happened. Many prominent fertility doctors have gone on record that this is NOT how these procedures are normally handled, and they’re outraged at the irresponsibility of the doctor who was in charge of her procedure from start to finish (and they have yet to name who that fertility doctor was).

But I really wouldn’t be surprised if Oprah or some other celebrity figure stepped in and gave this woman a new house and car and a lifetime supply of diapers or whatever. Oprah did it before with that other couple who had 6 or 7 babies at once (my memory is so damn bad I can’t even remember the details of that… I just know they really pissed me off). I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope this lady’s mental sickness doesn’t get rewarded. BUT for the sake of the babies, I hope they do get taken care of.

  12. butcherbaby February 2, 2009 at 4:04 am #

i know my limitations on having kids, and that would be- zero or less. my desire to have children was none, until i helped raise my niece, and then it became less than none- negative desire.
don’t get me wrong, i love my niece to death and i’d to it all over again if i had to, or take her in now if something happened to mom & papi, but i will never willingly have a child of my own. it is hard fucking work and you don’t ever get to call in sick.
fertility treatments are more evil than abortion. if you can’t have kids on your own, maybe that is GOD’S WILL and you should take the hint to adopt or foster some if you want them that badly.

  13. Cassie February 2, 2009 at 6:48 am #

It is a very sad day in our country when someone is praised for having multiple children. I agree with the hand thing as well, 1 child per hand. I knew I couldn’t properly handle more than one, so I take every precation necessary! I have a friend who is 26 and has 5 children. One boy and 2 sets of twin girls. No fertilization, just natural births. She regrets getting pregnant with the second set because she and her bubby can’t keep up with all of them. We don’t need people breeding their own small armys!!

And how can abortion be against gods will but implanting eggs that weren’t originally there ins’t???? It makes no sense.

I hope the state steps in and takes those poor babies and finds them better homes.

  14. Joey February 2, 2009 at 7:28 am #

    Wow, just wow….

Recently I was researching abortion regulations and learned a lot about the hoops women have to jump through…. 33 states require that women receive counseling before an abortion is performed, and 7 states require that all counseling be provided in person before the waiting period begins, thereby necessitating two separate trips to the facility (this is a huge deal because in my state there are only nine non-hospital abortion providers leaving some major metropolitan areas in the cold, and about a third of the women using them are traveling 50 or more miles to get to them).

I wonder what the state laws and regulations on in-vitro fertilization are???? It seems like this woman had no issue simply because she was somehow able to finance the procedure…… to me that seems beyond backwards. Why is bringing a life (or lives) into this world no big deal??

…..and in a way I feel bad for this woman’s doctor. It is not at all surprising to me that the fertility doctor remains unnamed in the article. Just being connected to this woman calls their ethics under fire…. right now its, “this woman has too many babies, what were you thinking?!” …but if they had declined to do the in-vitro process on those grounds they’d have run the risk of being called out for demeaning, paternal, non-sense and shoving their beliefs onto this woman… maybe even be hit with a lawsuit and lose their license and livelihood because deciding who is “fit” and “unfit” to breed… well, there was a whole movement based on that in the 20th-century (puke).

At any rate, what an awful, awful thing. I feel absolutely terrible for these kids.

And this quote from the article = Way to completely defy logic: “She told me that all of her kids were through in vitro, and I said ‘Gosh, how can you afford that and go to school at the same time?”‘ she added. “And she said it’s because she got paid for it.”

  15. mike wulf February 2, 2009 at 7:38 am #

Have to agree with all the statements made so far.
Im a 50 year old amle with no children, just 2 step daughters.
my sisters are unmarried and one adopted 2 girls from China and the other sister did invitro three times untill she had my nephew. They know what they can handle. Some people are completely oblivious to what they are setting these children up for, or maybe they just dont give a damn. Selfishness in the extreme. The doctors as you said should be brought up on charges, or at least have to foot the bill until the 8 babies are 18 years old.

Once I thought about having tons of kids to help combat the onslaught of childen the lower intelligent people kept popping out, but then I relized not only could I not afford 10 plus kids but also that I cannot single-handedly fight stupid. Eventually, we will reach a point on this planet where the planet cannot support the amount of people who live on it and all those people living will die off. This will not be in our lifetimes so I don’t worry about any of this kind of stuff anymore. I simply try to avoid getting hit by people who talk/text on their cell phones while driving.

Wow, the nutjob family I had to chase off my block for calling me a “dirty Mexican” and telling my kids that “all black people are bad” had 8 kids. At the urging of their whack-job church. Eight. They weren’t allowed in my “secular degenerate” house but their Mom couldn’t keep track of them so they’d come here anyway. That’s how they discovered my brother is gay and my cousin is in a death metal band. They moved back to a farm now…..heeheehee….

BTW, the eldest was becoming a missionary, and i just found him on Facebook listed as being in Morocco! HAHA! Good luck with that! He’s the asswipe who stole my rainbow flag, fuckin’ Pottery Barn Ruby Ridge motherfuckers!

THIS is why people do it, because society makes them think it’s okay. Go ahead, turn your vag into a clown car, we’ll give you a book deal and tons of money. Don’t you worry about the polar bears! There is no such thing as global warming. Just don’t stop havin’ babies. Consume Consume Consume!

  19. Paige February 3, 2009 at 3:37 pm #

If Oprah (or some celebrity) gives this woman anything.. even airtime I’d flip out. This is completely retarded. She should be locked up. Her children should go to sane and capable people and the fertility doctor should have to go work at McDonalds. I feel sick. I loose more hope with humanity everyday.

Screw Oprah, Lux Interior fucking died! I’m in shock….total shock…

  24. Kristen Ferrell February 5, 2009 at 9:26 am #

This completely fills me with rage… but was totally predictable. Why am I so shocked and disgusted that she’s got offers of fame because of her horrifying behavior? Why am I not totally used to our culture rewarding the morons, deviants, and despicable people for their appalling choices?
People make shockingly terrible decisions because our society’s media rewards them so greatly. The majority of the people in the public eye got there because of negative behaviors- not positive ones. For example, I had never even heard of Paris Hilton until her sex tapes hit the internet. These are the things that people get praised for.
It’s like dealing with toddlers…. they will act however they need to in order to get attention. It doesn’t matter if the behaviors are positive or negative- as long as it means that all eyes are on them. If the general public and the media keeps rewarding these fucking idiots with attention- they’ll keep upping the ante to outdo each other for that attention. Right now, the octuplets are the new media sweethearts… but what happens when the public has grown weary of them? Their tv show get canceled, the book deals stop coming in, and then there are 14 kids with a retarded mom who no longer has any assistance. AND THEN someone out there has got to out-do her. Some stupid person will decide that they need to have 9 kids at once, or 10… fuck, let’s just make it a dozen.
And it goes on and on and on.

It won’t stop until the media stops giving these people treats for socially irresponsible and damaging behavior.

  25. butcherbaby February 5, 2009 at 6:46 pm #

the sad part is, without help from the media & public attention those kids are the ones that are going to suffer. and she’ll be blissfully unaware of it all, just like the “crazy cat ladies” who think they are helping the world by filling it with more and more sickly homelss cats. maybe that’s the new thing- cat’s are passe. “crazy kid ladies” will be all the rage. 😛

OH ps i knew who paris hilton was only because i read vogue and she & her sis were always on the “high society’s darlings” pages. bleccch. as much as i can’t stand her and it makes me wince to say it, her performance in “repo: the genetic opera” was damn good, though i don’t think it was much of a stretch for her to play a rich, spoiled, slutty, drug addicted heiress. X-D

I am just as outraged as anyone about this, BUT now that they are here something needs to be done. My suggestion is that family services gets in there NOW and puts those children in homes with loving parents who aren’t crazy and can afford them.

Somehow, I doubt that will happen. She’ll probably get her own reality TV show on TLC or some shit.

  28. meowshell February 17, 2009 at 4:52 pm #

hopefully this doctor won’t be responsible for creating any more ridiculous amounts of children. ugh. I guess we can hope she goes insane from the stress of mothering 14 children on her own and goes on a killing rampage to even things out?

  29. Anonymous February 21, 2009 at 5:37 am #

I am a allah-fearing muslim. our religion lets us have children because its allah’s wish. My 3 begums and me have 22 children and I am back in Jordan to marry 4th time.

  30. Lex, Agent of Chaos February 21, 2009 at 5:50 am #

Anon–did you land here while trying to get to my little mockery blog? Honestly.

  31. Kristen Ferrell February 22, 2009 at 11:26 am #

Marry all you want… I really don’t have any problem with polygamy, because anything done between consenting adults that isn’t harmful to anyone isn’t any of my business. BUT 22 children is insane. I’m not trying to belittle or disrespect your religious beliefs, but any belief system needs to go hand-in-hand with common sense, a socially conscious mindset, and with the children’s welfare as top priority. It’s socially irresponsible to bring 22 children onto a planet that already is swarming with people who’s existence creates so much pollution that our resources are drying up. Allah wouldn’t want you destroying the planet he gave you to live on… and that’s exactly what overpopulation is doing. Also, long ago, when the teachings were written, women were encouraged to reproduce as many times as possible because so many of the babies and mothers didn’t survive childbirth, and conditions were harsh so lots of babies evened out the odds of a family name surviving… but this is no longer a major issue. So you’ve got to take all those ancient writings now with a grain of salt and a bit of common sense. Literal interpretation of ancient teachings don’t work in a modern society.

And there’s no way that 4 adults can properly nurture and care for 22 children in the way that they need in this society. It’s impossible. Societies were very different back when scripture was written- it was more of the “it takes a village to raise a child” kind of situation. But now, noone looks out for your kid but you. And for any parent, it’s difficult to protect your kid from all the dangers and horrors that are out there. And to keep an eye on the emotional, psychological and physical well-being of 22 children? There’s no way you can do that. Even with 4 or 5 adults in the house. It’s impossible. And it’s arrogant to think that you can.

Allah wants you to have children…. but also to be able to give all of them the best childhood and life-preparation that you can so that they can grow up to be thriving adults. Too many kids means that your parenting will suffer, and in turn brings suffering to the children. And no god wants that.

  32. Lex, Agent of Chaos February 22, 2009 at 11:58 am #

Kristen–that person is a fake. Definitely not a Muslim, which if he was would’ve actually capitalized “Muslim” which he didn’t. Yes, some Muslim men do marry more than once and 4 wives is the limit, something this troll obviously knows. But this is one of the people I spend my blogging mocking, trust me. I practically make a living at this and can spot someone mocking a Muslim while pretending to be one from a mile or three away. This moron didn’t even get creative enough to make up a stupid name like the ever-present “Sheik Yerbooti”. Ugh. But since I tell about 50 people a day off pulling that shit (actually I rarely bother these days with the amateurs) I figured I might as well do it here too. If this person were sincere he would’ve tried to defend his right to have this many wives and children and expressed disdain for your post, which he didn’t bother to do. “Trolls”, as they’re called, hit every blog sooner or later.

You should get Site Meter, which tells you how many people visit your blog as well as where they logged on from, what computer they’re using, all kinds of stuff. Through site meter I’ve learned that my blog traffic rather quintupled in the last two weeks, from not much traffic at all to 600 people since Friday!! And I don’t even do much to GET traffic! You should join Digg too, more people will then see your rants, which are good and should be spread around the web;)

Want to see a REAL lunatic, or as the reporter called her, “an anti-Muslim maniac”, trying to defend herself hilariously after a reporter ripped her a new one for her blog efforts? I had to do a write-up it was so freakin’ funny. The woeful tale of Pamela Geller (aka Atlas Shrugs) is here.
Ahh, a far-right “anti-Muslim maniac” making an idiot (more of an idiot) of herself. Classic.

Or the same woman going on YouTube either in a bikini or with her boobs falling out of her shirt on another anti-Muslim maniac. Talk about over-breeding and the hideousness than can occur? This woman is rather famous for putting her 4 kids in her “VLOGS” on YouTube (though the oldest is too embarrassed–GO FIGURE!!) saying such things as “I am George Bush”, cheering for Mitt Romney, answering “yes” obediently to Mom as she rants on and on about being a Republican and hating Muslims and makes sure that the world sees that her kids are being “taught well” by Mama. AT least she took down the video where they all sang “My Shari’a” over “My Sharona”.

Ahh, and people wonder why I got into mockery blogging. Too many targets! HAHA!

  33. Psychedelikat February 27, 2009 at 8:04 pm #

Did you hear she’s been offered a million dollars for making a porno? And apparently, she’s considering it. That is one screwed-up woman.
